About Batteries, Cartridges, e-Liquid, and PCC's Batteries

·         The charge on your battery should last between 250 and 500 puffs. The life depends on the length and frequency of your drawls and will very depending on your individual smoking habits.
·         Your batteries have a life of 200 to 300 charges.
·         Average charging time for an electronic cigarette battery is about an hour.
·         To ensure best performance and proper battery life, batteries must be used until the LED light flashes continuously 10 times immediately and every time you take a puff indicating the battery needs charging. Not following these instructions related to your batteries will reduce the charge life as well as the overall life of your batteries.

Cartridges
·         Cartridges should be stored in a controlled environment where temperatures do not exceed 80 F.
·         The number of puffs you get from each cartridge will vary based on your individual smoking habits.
·         Average puffs per cartridge can vary from between 50 and 200 depending on how you smoke and the model e-cig you have. The DEUCE II PRO set normally has longer cartridge life.
·         Cartridges should be used within 5 days after opening.
·         Cartridge shelf life is 12 - 18 months from their production date. Cartridges shipped to you are no more than 1 month old when you receive them.
·         Number of puffs can be greatly reduced if device is not disassembled when not in use and/or when cartridges are stored in extreme heat.
·         When your electronic cigarette stops producing vapor and the LED is lighting up when you puff on the device (but not indicating the battery needs charging) the cartridge most likely needs replacing.

Cartomizers
·         Cartomizers should be stored in a controlled environment where temperatures do not exceed 80 F.
·         The number of puffs you get from each cartomizer will vary based on your individual smoking habits.
·         Average puffs per cartomizer can vary from between 200 and 400 depending on how you smoke and the model e-cig you have. The DEUCE II PRO set normally has longer cartridge life.
·         Cartomizers should be used within 5 days after opening or refilling.
·         Cartomizer shelf life is 12 - 18 months from their production date. Cartridges shipped to you are no more than 1 month old when you receive them.
·         Number of puffs can be greatly reduced if device is not disassembled when not in use and/or when cartomizers are stored in extreme heat.
·         When your electronic cigarette stops producing vapor and the LED is lighting up when you puff on the device (but not indicating the battery needs charging) the cartridge most likely needs replacing.

e-Liquid
·         E-liquid should be stored in a controlled environment where temperatures do not exceed 80 F.
·         If you are refilling cartridges you will need to keep the original plug that was in your cartridge when you first took it out of the package.
·         After the original cartridge is out of liquid (no longer producing vapor) you should clean the outside of the cartridge with a damp paper towel or hand towel, replace the plug and store in a safe place out of the reach of children and pets until ready to fill.
·         To refill a cartridge you should remove the stuffing from the cartridge and drop 3 - 5 drops for Classic model and 8 10 drops of liquid for the PRO model into the cartridge and then put the stuffing back into the cartridge. If the top of the stuffing is not visibly wet you can drop 1 - 2 more drops of liquid on it to top it off. Wipe any liquid off the outside of the cartridge and put the cap back on the cartridge. For the Classic model you will need to remove the liquid container from the cartridge using a toothpick or bent paper clip.
·         For refilling you do not have to remove the stuffing, but removing it will give you better performance out of the cartridge. (Important: Removing the stuffing is only for cartridges, DO NOT attempt to remove the stuffing from cartomizers as it will render them useless) To refill cartomizers you just remove the rubber end cap and drip liquid directly on the cotton filler while rotating the cartomizer a 1/4 turn after each 2 drops until you've put 10 - 12 drops in the cartomizer.
·         Refilled cartridges can be used immediately, but for best results store them plug up for at least an hour to allow the e-liquid to absorb into the cotton contained in the cartridge.
·         Cartridges should not be refilled more than 10 times. After 10 refills dispose of the cartridge appropriately.
·         The number of puffs received from refilled cartridges will vary depending on your individual smoking habits.
·         Refilled cartridges should be used within 5 days of filling.
PCC (Portable Charging Case) Information

·         When you receive your PCC you should unscrew the eCig battery from it (if it came with a battery in it) then plug it up using the supplied USB cable and wall plug adapter. The charging indicator light will will turn red while the PCC is charging and once charging is complete the led will turn off.
·         To charge your eCig battery screw it into the charging slot inside the PCC and push the button on the front of the PCC. The LED tip on the eCig battery will flash and the charging indicator light on the PCC will turn red indicating the eCig battery is charging. Once completely charged the indicator light on the PCC will turn off. To check the charge of a battery you can push the charging button on the PCC and if the light on the PCC turns green then turns off that means your eCig battery is fully charged.
·         To check the available battery life in your PCC push the charging button and the illuminated battery life LCD panel will show you how much charge is left in your PCC. If you have less than a 1/4 charge your should plug you PCC up to charge it.
·         You should not charge the PCC with an eCig battery screwed into the charging port. Before charging the PCC unscrew the eCig battery to prevent damage.
·         You should reserve PCC eCig battery charging to when you are away from home and don't have access to the charger that came with your starter kit. This will extend the life of the PCC

Electronic Device

·         The indicator that your battery needs charging is the LED flashes continuously immediatly and every time you try to take a puff. When this occurs you need to replace the battery immediately with a fully charged battery and charge the dead battery fully until the indicator light on the charger box turns green. (Do not charge batteries before they indicate needing a charge by the LED flashing continuously immediately and every time you try to take a puff).
·         To prevent premature drainage of the battery and/or damage to the atomizer you should disassemble your device when it is not being used. After smoking you should unscrew the atomizer from the battery and store in an electronic cigarette case if you have one and if not in an adequate place to prevent damage.
·         This is an electronic device so it should be treated no different than a cell phone or other electronic devices. Store the device appropriately to prevent damage from elements such as water, extreme heat, etc..
·         All electronic cigarettes have a safety mechanism that activates when certain conditions are present to warn you that you are smoking the device improperly.
§  The 1st mechanism is activated when you puff on the device for more than 10 seconds continuously. When this occurs the LED light on the end of the battery will flash and the device will shutdown. During this shutdown period the device will not allow the micro-switch to activate the vaporizer. After 30 seconds the device automatically returns to normal operating mode.
§  The 2nd is activated if you take more than 16 drags in a one minute period. When this occurs the LED light on the end of the battery will flash and the device will shutdown. During this shutdown period the device will not allow the micro-switch to activate the vaporizer. After 30 seconds the device automatically returns to normal operating mode.

·         TIP - For Classic Model - In some cases when your e-cig is not producing as much vapor as you'd like you can unscrew the atomizer/cartomizer slightly (about 1/4 to 1/2 a turn) and the vapor production will increase.
·         TIP - For 901 models you can pull the stuffing out of the cartridge about 1/8 of an inch to get more contact with the atomizer which will produce more vapor.
·         TIP - If you notice vapor production is reduced and you know there is liquid in your cartridge try to rotate your Ecig 180 degrees which will allow the liquid to shift in the cart and sometimes produce more vapor.
·         TIP - When smoking an e-cig you should hold it tilted slightly toward the ground so the liquid can flow to the top of the cart.

General Smoking and Device Tips or Info

·         The tendency with an electronic cigarette is to smoke it more often that you would a traditional cigarette because its more convenient.
·         On average a traditional cigarette is 10 - 12 puffs and takes 3 - 5 minutes from start to finish to smoke.
·         An electronic cigarette should be smoked similar to the way you smoke traditional cigarettes. You should only take 10 - 12 puffs over a 3 - 5 minute span then put the device away for the period of time you would normally wait between smoking. This means there should be 20 - 30 seconds between each puff.

Don't Dry Smoke / Vapor
·         This is very important. When you are no longer getting any vapor when you take a drag from your device change the cartridge or refill with liquid immediately. If you continue vaping with an empty cartridge it will burn out the atomizer. When you notice the vapor starting to reduce its time to change the cartridge or refill.

About Electronic Cigarette

·         Electronic cigarettes are not real cigarettes and although they function similar to the real thing, keep in mind they are not.
·         Electronic Cigarettes require the user to drag harder than they would with traditional cigarettes. This is due to the fact that the atomizer is activated by the movement of an electronic mico-switch caused by the force of air generated by the drag. When a sufficient drag is administered the LED light on the end of the battery will light up.
·         For best performance, vapor production, and visual smoke at exhale the drag should be 3 - 4 seconds long and should be exhaled quickly. The smoke produced by an electronic cigarette is vapor so it evaporates quickly. If your smoking habit is to inhale a large puff of smoke and hold it in for several seconds you will notice the amount of vapor exhaled will be limited.
·         Electronic cigarettes are not a smoking cessation product, they are intended to be a smoking alternative allowing you to smoke in places where traditional smoking is not allowed.

Things should know about ecigs

·         Read the manual that came with your eCigarette and use the information below to ensure you understand how to properly use your device.
·         Its important that once you receive your Electronic Cigarette Kit that you fully charge the batteries before using. Not doing this will cause the batteries and cigarette to not function properly and can cause permanent damage to the battery. Your batteries come with a partial to full charge so the time it takes to charge your eCig batery the first time will vary. Just remember when the light on the USB charger turns green the eCig batery is fully charged.
o    To charge your batteries unpack the charger and charger cable from the box and plug it into the wall or USB port on computer.
o    If your battery came with an atomizer attached remove the atomizer from one of your cigarettes and screw the battery into the charger box. When the battery is screwed in the LED on the battery will flash several times and the indicator light on the charger box will turn red. If the charging indicator light does not turn red after the battery is screwed into it than your battery is fully charged and you can begin use.
o    When your battery is fully charged the indicator light on the USB charger will turn solid green. (there will be an occasional red flash between the solid green state which is normal). The LED on the wall plug will not change colors it's just an indicator that the charger has power.
o    Now the first battery is ready for a new cartridge and youre ready to begin vaping. Screw in the second battery and charge it until the indicator light on the charger box turns green.
·         Assemble the fully charged cigarette by screwing the atomizer or cartomizer onto the battery.
·         If a cartridge came on your eCigarette it is blank and needs to be replaced with new cartridges. To replace the cartridge pull the blank cartridge off and replace with a new one from the cartridge box.
·         Electronic Cigarettes have a break-in period of 200 - 300 puffs. As you use your Electronic Cigarette it will break itself in and after 200 - 300 puffs iftshould be operating at its peak performance in regards to vapor production and taste.

Most Important Things about ecigs you need to Know

·       Never charge your batteries before they are dead. Batteries are dead when the LED flashes immediately every time you attempt to take a puff. If the battery has no charge at all the LED light will not illuminate at all which also indicates it needs to be charged.

·       Always keep your threads clean. Wipe the threads clean on your battery, atomizer, and cartomizers every time you change or refill a cartridge. Not doing this will cause a short resulting in the device no longer working.

·       Never charge your PCC with a battery screwed into the charging slot on PCC.

·       Remove cartomizer from battery before refilling.

·       Always wipe excess liquid off of cartridges and cartomizer threads after refilling.

·       Take long (3 6 second), soft puffs to produce the best flavor and vapor

·       Twist cartridges when removing to make them easier to get off atomizer

·       Never use with a dry cartridge or cartomizer. It only takes a few puffs with a dry cartridge to burn up the atomizer.

·       Dont over-tighten the battery on the atomizer/cartomizer, in the charger or PCC. Screw it in until you feel resistance and thats tight enough.

·       If the LED light on your battery activates without taking a puff or the atomizer/cartomizer activates by itself when you screw onto battery you have liquid in your battery from over filling the cartridge or the threads on your device are dirty. You can try to remove the liquid from the battery using a can of compressed air by blowing the air into the thread end of the battery. You can also clean the threads on your device with a paper towel to see if it corrects the problem. If the problem still exists you will need to replace the battery. To prevent the issue be sure not to over fill the cartridges and be sure to keep the threads clean on your device.

Common Customs of China

The Chinese are a lot more relaxed about some of their customs than other Asian cultures. As a waiguoren (Westerner), you're not expected to necessarily understand various customs, so you'll be let off the hook to a large extent.
It doesn't hurt for the foreign barbarian to be a little civilized every now and then. Read on for advice on specific customs.
Gift Giving
It's traditional to bring a gift when invited to someone's home. Usually fresh flowers or fruit are your best bet (the number eight is considered lucky, so eight apples or eight oranges is a good idea) or, of course, anything from home. The more expensive the gift, the more respectful, but don't go over the top or you'll embarrass your hosts, who may feel the need to bankrupt themselves to return your generosity. Don't be surprised when, if your gift is wrapped, it is placed somewhere prominent all evening and not unwrapped until after you leave (your hosts might look greedy and ungrateful if the gift were opened too hastily and in front of you). It is also courteous to bring something back from traveling - just a token gift is fine. But be sure to be fair with your gift-giving: don't give something nicer to the secretary in the office than to the dean of the college, and don't give gifts to one group of students and not another - they'll find out, you can bet on it. Often, it's better to give something that can be shared, like food.
Business Cards
It's a good idea to have these made up for yourself as soon as you have an address; it's cheap and easy to do almost everywhere in China. Get a friend to give you a Chinese name, and get your name and address printed in Chinese on one side, English on the other (double-check the English spellings - there are almost always errors!). Get a lot made, as everyone will want one. Use both hands to give and accept business cards to show respect.
Guanxi (Connection or Relationship)
Guanxi is extremely important in China. We have the same thing in the West: you're looking for a job and so you write letters to some alumni from the university you went to, or your parents might call up an old friend; you use your guanxi, or contacts, to help you.
In China, however, guanxi goes way beyond a simple means of aiding you in a job search; it is a way of life, and everyone uses it and depends upon it to get anything they need or want. So you're considering going to graduate school? Well, then, you'd better start buttering up the dean of the department you'd like to enter. Hopefully, you have enough money to buy him gifts of foreign cigarettes, imported fruit, or maybe a bottle of expensive brandy, because otherwise your chances are very slim. This system of using guanxi is apparent in all aspects of life in China, from buying hard-to-come-by train tickets, to obtaining a foreign exit visa. Don't necessarily think of it as bribery or corruption or you'll go insane - you might look at it as admitting the reality of how the system works, especially in a country of such an impossibly dense population. Be aware that the system of guanxi is the way to get by in China and you're not going to change that alone. You may well get caught up in it yourself: why did that nice young woman give you a silk scarf yesterday, for example? Did she say something about wanting to study abroad? Then again, you really need a train ticket to Shanghai for next week; maybe that businessman you've been tutoring in English for free could help you out? Be careful about developing guanxi in China, and remember that it works both ways.
Face
As in most Asian countries, face is a very important and complex feature of daily life. We may call it "pride" in the West, but we don't have as developed a sense of the absolute necessity of "saving face" as in the East. In China, you will encounter this idea of "saving face" as well as having to "give face," on multiple levels. Maybe in the classroom the student in the back row who knows the answer to your question won't answer because she doesn't want her classmates to feel stupid. Maybe when you asked that old man how to get to the museum he just pointed to the left because he was too embarrassed to admit that he had no idea where it really was. Maybe the official at the Public Security Bureau won't extend your visa because you lost your temper in front of him and his colleagues, and if he granted your request now it would look as if he'd given in to your threats. Be aware of face and its importance to the Chinese. In general, as a foreigner to whom face means comparatively little, you can afford to lose face more than the Chinese, so you can use this to your advantage. Try to give face as often as possible - it will be appreciated.
Smoking
Men in China smoke. Period. Smoking is good for business; how better to break the ice and establish common ground upon which to build a relationship than to exchange cigarettes? Women do not smoke; it is bad for them. Don't ask why smoking is good for men and bad for women, because in China it just IS, and if you want to start an anti-smoking or equal-smoking lobby on your own, good luck to you. If you are male, expect to be offered cigarettes as a preface to developing a friendly relationship. If you smoke, offer cigarettes yourself - doing so will endear you to your new Chinese friends; however, declining an offered cigarette isn't a big deal as long as you are gracious about it.
In recent years, however, smoking has been forbidden in many public places and as a result smoking is less prevalent than it used to be.
Banquets
If you're living in China you're bound to be invited to a banquet sooner or later , whether it is a welcome banquet, a goodbye banquet, a banquet to celebrate International Women's Day, a banquet to show off how rich you are in front of a foreigner, or for any semi-plausible excuse. It will probably start at 6pm and you shouldn't be late. Dress is casual as always in China, but try to look nice and don't wear shorts. Dishes will arrive in turn, starting with the lighter dishes and ending with the heavy, starchy dishes (rice, noodles, steamed buns) near 8pm. In between there will be much toasting and downing of beer or, if you're really unlucky, rice wine (otherwise known as jet fuel). You should try to stagger yourself by eating a little from each dish and complimenting each in turn with something like, "This is delicious!" or, "I've never tasted such good fish!" Exaggerate wildly - you cannot lay it on too thick. Near the end of the meal you should declare yourself full, "chi bao le!" and then give in to pressure to eat a little more. Then say you're REALLY full, "hen bao," that you'll never eat again, that you'll be sick if you eat another mouthful, and so on. Around eight, the banquet will end and everyone staggers home - there is no after-dinner chit-chat.
Sensitive Subjects
As in any other country, if, while conversing with a local, he or she suddenly clams up, changes the subject, or feigns incomprehension, you can bet you've stumbled onto a forbidden topic. Don't push the matter or you may cause trouble for your Chinese friend as well as for yourself. It's best not to initiate discussions of religion or politics in particular.

History of Old Christmas Day

Until the time of Julius Caesar the Roman year was organized round the phases of the moon. For many reasons this was hopelessly inaccurate so, on the advice of his astronomers, Julius instituted a calendar centered round the sun. It was decreed that one year was to consist of three hundred and sixty-five and a quarter days, divided into twelve months; the month of Quirinus was renamed 'July' to commemorate the Julian reform. Unfortunately, despite the introduction of leap years, the Julian calendar overestimated the length of the year by eleven minutes fifteen seconds, which comes to one day every on hundred and twenty-eight years. By the sixteenth century the calendar was ten days out. In 1582 reforms instituted by Pope Gregory XIII lopped the eleven minutes fifteen seconds off the length of a year and deleted the spare ten days. This new Gregorian calendar was adopted throughout Catholic Europe.
Protestant Europe was not going to be told what day it was by the Pope, so it kept to the old Julian calendar. This meant that London was a full ten days ahead of Paris. The English also kept the 25th of March as New Year's Day rather than the 1st of January. By the time England came round to adopting the Gregorian calendar, in the middle of the eighteenth century, England was eleven days ahead of the Continent.
A Calendar Act was passed in 1751 which stated that in order to bring England into line, the day following the 2nd of September 1752 was to be called the 14th, rather than the 3rd of September. Unfortunately, many people were not able to understand this simple manoeuvre and thought that the government had stolen eleven days of their lives. In some parts there were riots and shouts of 'give us back our eleven days!'
Before the calendar was reformed, England celebrated Christmas on the equivalent of the 6th of January by our modern, Gregorian reckoning. That is why in some parts of Great Britain people still call the 6th of January, Old Christmas Day.

Smoke may be a good thing

A lot of people are excluded tobacco, or even hate people who smoke, of course, including me.I just hate people who smoke, and even asked my dad or good friends do not smoke, or do not smoke in front of me.However, think about it, I seem to be wrong, because life give them too much pressure,or sometimes they feel sad, they can rely on the smoke to relieve the pain .And at the same time, smoking can make people to become more spiritual, which can improve work efficiency, or reduce some accidents, or even to bring inspiration.
So,we may change our views of tobacco or smokers. But in order to reduce smoking harm to the people, I suggest that the smokers use electronic cigarettes, rather than traditional cigarettes, because the electronic cigarette less harmful than traditional tobacco. Therefore, in order to your own health and the health of the family and friends around you, please give up the traditional cigarette.
